Holla! I'm back from Perth. I never thought I'll live to say this but I'm really glad to be back and soaking into Singapore's hot and humid weather. I no longer have to load on the thick jackets nor do I have have to slap on mositurizers and lip blams like every 3 seconds.
Unlike my first trip, there wasn't much to buy this time around. Firstly, its Autumn in Perth now. You seriously cannot expect me to buy all those thick winter jackets and prance around them in Singapore. People will think I'm nuts. Secondly, there wasn't really any great deal this time. There were some sales but its mostly accessories.
Nonetheless, I did find some pretty awesome things there but I'm kind of lazy to do a detailed blog on all the stuff I got in one post. So I'll do a couple of posts when I get to use the products and do their accompanying review(s) on the way.
Okay. I'll like to start with this brush set I found at the Aussie Target. This cat cosmetic bag comes with 3 make up brushes and a handy hand held mirror. The picture seriously doesn't do justice to the product. (Maybe I'll need to improve on my photography/photo editting skills too) Although the bag quality isn't much to be desired for, the brushes are incredibly soft and the mirror ubber cute. Not to mention, all these comes at a nifty price of AUD 10 dollars.
Next, I bought 2 boxes of the Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips from Sally Hansen to try. Nic tried it and says that it is quite awesome. Further more, she told me that for every transaction of 20AUD or more of Sally Hansen products at Priceline, I will get a travelling bag and a cosmetic as GWP (gift with purchase). What's there not to like. They are around 14++ AUD per box. Maybe Nic will give a review about this soon?
Popped into Gloss at Forrest Chase at Peth City Centre on my last day. I went to Gloss the previous time I was in Perth and wasn't impressed by the BYX cosmetics they carry. They were awfully pigmented but they don't transfer well. So they were a miss.
These Beilizi Eye Shadow Kits, however, were superbly pigmented and transferred well. At 9.95 AUD per kit, I felt that they were too good to be given a miss.
When I get my hands on trying them, I'll do a review or LOTD.
Here's a swatch to show how pigmented they are. Super shimmery but they are kind of loose? They look like the kind of eyeshadow kits that will not survive a fall. I was so worried about their trip back to Singapore from Perth, I bubbled wrapped with loads of my shirts. I'll monitor this and update my views about them in time to come.
I have a couple of posts I have in mind. I just purchased the Urban Decay Naked Palette from Sephora and the Diorskin Radiant Base in 001 from Changi Airport Terminal 1 before I left for Perth. I was thinking of a combined post of May Hits and Misses with Nic when she's back in Singapore this June. Or maybe I'll do individual posts. I have a lot of materials and too little motivation to go through them.
Hang on people till I can get my ass to plan my posts.
Till then,
J
