Liquid Foundations, Loose Powders, Pressed Powder (Part 1)

I will be doing a review on the base make-up that I have/like/dislike in this post. Basically, I have tried SOOOO many foundations be it liquid, pressed, cream foundation etc etc... I haven't been liking most of them as they often cause my skin to become super sensitive or break out like mad but I have found a few that I truely like love.

Canmake 5 Effects Cream Foundation

Likes: This cream foundation dries quickly to a powdery feel texture and can be applied easily using the sponge provided. The outer casing is pretty and the lid separating the sponge and the foundation keeps the foundation clean. You can get the refill for the foundation easily at John Little Canmake section (where I bought this foundation as well)

Dislikes: I have a lot of acne scars and redness that cannot be concealed with this foundation. The coverage I would say is at most medium. If you need more coverage, I advice you use a trusty concealer with this foundation.

Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Mineral Powder Foundation

Likes: The shiokness of milling my own powder to whatever amount I decide to use on a daily basis. Doesn't break me out. Keeps me relatively matte.

Dislikes: Black casing which shows up all the powder that has transferred from my hands.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Powder

Likes: Does not bulge. Will literally stay in place. Sponge is superbly good as it has two side: one for touch up (smooth side) and one for putting on make up on bare face (rough side). Smooth side pick up lesser powder than the rough side.

Dislikes: BREAKS ME OUT!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Liquid Foundation



Likes: I actually used like 2 bottles of this. This was my 3rd bottle. Makeup really stays in place and it comes with SPF 10. Oil control is superbly good

Dislikes: CLOG MY PORES and I ended up with severe cystic acne. Pours out to a HUGE mess sometimes. SUPER difficult to remove.

Maybelline Pure Mineral 2 way Foundation 

Likes: Love the limited edition casing. Doesn't breaks me out. SPF 30.

Dislikes: Coverage is so so. Oil control is so so.

Loreal True Match Powder

Likes: Coverage good. Super blendable as promised.

Dislikes: Breaks me out slightly. "Cheap casing". Mirror at bottom of casing with sponge.

Holy Grail: Dior Diorskin Extreme Fit Extreme Wear Liquid Foundation

Likes: This is MY holy grail of all foundation. It doesn't leave my skin dry when I apply it and it dries to a powdery state. It doesn't really oxidize. It has SPF 15. It doesn't break me out. The coverage is okay. The foundation allows my skin to breathe. The pump allows me to use the foundation hygienically. A bottle lasted me for like a good 3-4 months.

Dislikes: The PRICE! At 60+++ it is quite a heafty sum to fork out every 1/4 yr. Also, the foundation doesn't dry matte so I have to apply loose powder (Elizabeth Arden loose powder) on top to set the foundation. (Not as if other liquid foundation can dry matte though...what am I talking about)

But....IT DOESN'T BREAK ME OUT! 2nd bottle and going strong!!
